  • Are you an experienced Senior UX practitioner that has strong experience in UX Research, UX Architecture, and Service Design knowledge?


  • Are you looking to share your knowledge and experience with junior team members to support their growth?


You will need to be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the UX process and methods. Strong Agile knowledge and the confidence to take a lead are important as you may be helping clients to transform not only what they are delivering but how they deliver their projects.


You will be working across multiple business sectors and at times across multiple projects, so broad industry and sector experience and examples of large enterprise (especially government) work experience is highly advantageous, as well as the ability to effectively prioritise your work.


Examples of UX education, evangelising, and robust resistance to risk or public speaking, both in house and with clients, are also beneficial, but not critical.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all aspects of UX research, resulting in the production and presentation of UX Research artefacts and reports that are relevant and consumable to the business and project teams.

  • Hypothesise, create and test solution UX architecture in a collaborative manner, resulting in the production and presentation of testable prototypes, agreed user journeys, test reports, IA, concept diagrams, service design, business case presentations to senior management, stake holders and project teams at every level.

  • Articulate complex data and concepts in simple, verbal or visual terms to stakeholders, project team members and users.

  • Lead UX activities across business, users and stakeholders.

  • Discovery andconsiderationoftheimplicationsoftechnologies,methodologiesandcompliancerequirementsoncurrentandfutureprojects

  • Enforce best practice UX solutions, mentor more junior team members where necessary and be vocal on any UX risks to the project or the business.

  • Contribute to proposal responses and business development activities as we continue to grow our business.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Significant experience of UX (min research and architecture)

  • Technology and systems architecture knowledge/awareness.

  • Experience producing responsive and native solutions

  • Strong capabilities in Axure and Omnigra?e

  • Agile environment knowledge and experience.

  • Stays current and proficient in user-centred design techniques and UX methodologies

  • Understands accessibility

  • Has worked directly with developers, POs and other roles in a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Excellent communications skills with members of business, technology and users.

  • Ability to take the lead in customer facing engagements and build a single, shared understanding amongst participants through effective communication and solution exploration methods.

  • Experience carrying out UX research tasks and creating artefacts and presenting findings.

  • Experience carrying out UX architecture tasks, creating artefacts, including creating user journeys and prototypes. Usability testing and presenting findings.

  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Interrogates ambiguity and validates problem statements, opinions and strategic goals.

  • Experience and ability to communicate with a range of audiences, from leadership, clients, stakeholders to delivery team members.

  • Successful candidates must be able to meet the security requirements for the role and be in a position to pass the required security clearances, due to the nature of the client project for which we are recruiting

  • Willing to travel to client locations if necessary

  • Willingness to adapt to and work to DXC UX best practices, standards and policies

  • Able to work from home – we are a virtual first organisation

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

  • Service Design experience

  • Knowledge of coding is an advantage (you will not be required to code)

  • Any management, business or process background is an advantage.

  • Broad business and sector experience.

  • Industry recognised UX qualifications

  • Participation in the UX community

  • Eagerness to influence how digital services are delivered and support our clients as they transform
